Winter Precautions
The colder weather is here, so we just want to give you a couple of simple reminders while walking with us or on your own:
Remember to bring a coat for you and your hound
Watch for build up of ice or snow on your hounds paws.
Be sure to wipe your dog's paws after the walk. Salt treatment for the roadway can irritate their feet.
Be sure to watch your dog's body temperature, sometimes they can get too warm under their coats and sometimes they can get too cold too.
On windy days pay attention to their ears, sometimes the tips of their ears can get overexposed to cold.
Last, be sure to watch your footing on any icy patches. A fall can surely ruin a nice walk.
Stay safe, and we will see you on the trails!
